Hinder, Pop Evil, Anew Revolution

Hinder made their return with their latest album, "Take it to the Limit," which was released on November 4th of last year. Their first single, "Use Me," made waves across the nation, gaining national recognition, and even reaching the 3rd place on the U.S. main rock charts. Their newest single, "Up All Night," strives to gain the same recognition. Judging from a few listenings of the song, I wouldn't be suprised if it did.

Pop evil is an up and coming mainstream band. Though they have been around since 2001, they have not received much recognition until late last year. They are currently rising up fast in the industry, however, which singles such as "Hero," "Somebody Like You," and this one..."100 in a 55."

Anew Revolution is also an up and coming band. They, not unlike Pop Evil, are just beginning to be heard across the nation mainstream. Their first single, "Done," was fairly popular, and their newest single, "Generation," helps to push them over the edge.

Hoobastank, Red, Papa Roach

Red is a fairly new, up and coming christian rock band that is really starting to make waves in the rock industry. With catchy rhythms and a great singer heading the band, it is easy to see why these guys are rising fast. It never really occured to me that these guys were a christian rock band until I really heard about it. Most of you might know these guys from their most known single, "Already Over." Today I will bring you a new song off their newest album set to be released February 10th, 2009 entitled, "Death of Me."

Hoobastank is marking their return on January 27th with their newest album, "For(N)ever." Most known for their hit single, "The Reason," their latest single is a bit more upbeat. It is entitled, "My turn."

Papa Roach is also making their first album since 2006 which is set to be released in March of this year. I recently heard their newest single and was impressed enough with it to share it with you guys. Let me know what you think. This is, "Hollywood Whore."

Hed PE, Trapt, The Grammar Club

Hed PE is back again this year with their release of New World Orphans, their eighth upcoming studio album set to be released on January 13th. I got a taste of their newest song, "Renegades," and couldn't get enough. I really like the unique style that Hed PE has with their music.

Trapt has had some good success with their latest album, Only Through the Pain. When most people think of the album, many of them think of the son, "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?" I feel their latest single, however, deserves greater attention. It is called, "Contagious."

The Grammar Club never seems to disappoint me with their music. Their latest song, a version of "Red Cyclone," never fails to get me pumped up. Like always, they offer a free download of their song on their website.

I apologize for my absence recently. College started up and took all my time and attention. I appreciate all of the emails that I have still been receiving and I want to assure you that I read every single one of them. I have definitely been receiving some good content from up and coming bands which I really appreciate. I hope to place my favorites on the next few posts, so keep sending them in!
