Rivethead, Stuck Mojo, Atreyu, Disturbed

Previously I featured a song from Rivethead that was an amusing cover of Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back." Today I will bring you a more serious song of theirs that I have been enjoying a lot recently. It is entitled "It," and can be found on their most recent album, "The 13th Step."

This next band is very unique. Stuck Mojo is a blend of three members from a metal background and one member from a prominently hip-hop background. They formed together in 1989 in an experiment to see if this rock-rap mix would be accepted by fans across the world. Eighteen years, six released albums, and many world tours later, Stuck Mojo has proven that rock and rap blend together well. Their most popular album, "Southern Born Killers," was their most popular album, as they released it for free for download on the internet. This is my favorite track from them, "The Sky is Falling."

Atreyu is a band that has not been previously featured here. They are probably most known for their single "Falling Down" which is being played by rock radio stations throughout the country. Instead of showing you something that you have probably heard before, I decided to bring you a different track off their most recent album. This track is entitled, "Slow Burn."

In honor of Disturbed's release of the Tuesday release of their latest album, Indestructible, I wanted to show you all my personal favorite song from the album. This is "The Curse."

~Three New Songs and Two Cover Songs~

Today I've got four songs for you all. Two of them are new, while three of them are a little old. This first one is from trapt's new album. The song is entitled "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?"

This next song is from Rev Theory (formerly known as Revelation Theory). I did not like this song when I first heard it, but it grows on me more as I listen to it more often. This song is entitled "Hell Yeah"

This is another song off of Serj Tankian's (formally the lead singer for System of a Down) album. This song is their third single, entitled "Lie, lie, lie."

Cover Songs are opportunities to turn a good song into a great song, or just a new side of the song. Rasputina demonstrates this with their cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."

On a lighter note, cover songs can also give the opportunity to turn an absolutely horrible song into something fairly amusing. This is Rivethead's rendition of "Sexy Back."
